Outfit post: Out of Africa

I love ethnic prints of all kinds: batik, tie & dye, block print…bring it on I say! So when I heard that Antwerp designer Harvey Bouterse created a collection using African wax prints (made in Holland by Vlisco) I wrote him an email immediately, telling him that I had to have the parka coat. And guess what: I got the sample! I’m proudly wearing it here (admired by Dita Von Teese;-) and combined it with a patched up skinny jeans by Current/Elliott, a cashmere/cotton purple top by American Vintage, a pink tee by Topshop and my favorite suede booties by Think! Nona took the photos and she also made some close-ups of my silver rings. The one with ‘Chance’ on it is by Wouters & Hendrix, the turquoise/coral one is my Native American engagement ring (I have a thing for Native American jewelry, as can be seen in the current issue of Elle Belgium in photo nr 72 in the series of 100 must-haves of their favorite people in Belgium, natch), the silver one with Love, Life and Light is my wedding ring and the butterfly ring is one of the first presents from my husband. Do you also have emotional stories to tell about your rings?

Love & Light,

Ninette
